You and your cousin, Kailyn, started first grade on the same day. Here you two are, being cute with your number one signs.
We celebrated your first day with some after school froyo.
You started first grade on Wednesday. You were less reluctant this year because you already had so many friends from kindergarten. You did manage to find my hand just before walking in; a little reminder that even though you’re getting so big, you’re still my little girl.
I decided tonight, that when you can’t sleep and you ask me to come and snuggle you, that I’m actually going to lie down and snuggle you for a while instead of just tucking you in and kissing you good night. I can’t help to feel like I’m losing my little baby, because you’re growing up right in front of me.
The Queen of Sass.
We’re spending this month saying goodbye to six years old (and hello to first grade). You’re going to break hearts, starting with mine.
It’s such a double edged sword seeing you grow up right before my eyes, the way that you do. I get to watch your beautiful mind develop into this incredibly interesting, intelligent, and witty personality, but then suddenly you look like a grown up person.
Over spring break, we took a trip to California. Here you are, on your way to your first ocean experience.
